Development of a lightweight rotor
At the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal (Germany), we developed in cooperation with a manufacturer for rotors of laboratory centrifuges a novel construction approach for a lightweight rotor made from CFRP.
Detailed computations provided the base for creating construction plans and material estimations. After having successfully built a prototype, we finalized the development project with pilot tests and various material analyses.
